Bring your own ceramic hare to life on this hands-on, guided pottery workshop. Relax, get creative, and enjoy the process of learning how to shape clay into a beautiful sculptural piece.

WHAT TO EXPECT

During this three-hour workshop, you'll be guided through the process of sculpting a ceramic hare from clay. Using a range of traditional hand-building techniques, you'll learn how to slab, coil, shape, and join clay to create form, structure, and proportion, before adding details that bring personality and movement to your piece. The workshop is designed to be accessible and enjoyable, with clear demonstrations and hands-on support throughout, helping you feel confident from start to finish — no previous experience is needed.

Once your hare is complete, it will be carefully dried, bisque-fired, and finished with a white speckled glaze before its final firing. You’ll receive an email approximately four weeks later when it is ready for collection.

This workshop is suitable for beginners and more experienced makers alike, offering a focused introduction to hand-building techniques alongside the enjoyment of creating a beautiful, handcrafted sculpture to treasure for years to come.

We take the greatest care throughout the making, drying, glazing and firing process to achieve the best possible results. However, working with clay is sometimes an unpredictable process, meaning slight variations may occur that add to the character and individuality of your creation.
