Hi! We’re potter’s Alan & Annabel Cusack, owners of Honeybourne Pottery. We design and make all our tableware from our studio in Honeybourne, surrounded by the beautiful countryside of the North Cotswolds. Our work is refined yet still has a natural, relaxed feel. We specialise in both wheel-thrown and slab-built pottery using stoneware clay, hand glazed and high fired to over 1200 degrees centigrade. Each piece is made from start to finish entirely by hand and embraces the slow pace that comes with this age-old craft.

Our aim is to create beautifully crafted everyday pieces that will be treasured in your home, and in the homes of your friends and loved ones. We hope the love and care that goes into each item shines through.

OUR STORY

Before embarking on our clay journey together, we lived & worked in London, Alan as a city Banker and Annabel in Fashion. We have always been creative people and pursued our love of ceramics on a part-time basis while working. In 2014 we decided to take the plunge and leave behind our day jobs. Following dreams of running our own creative business, we took up the reins from Annabel’s parents who founded HP in 2001. We feel incredibly blessed to have such a platform to develop and grow; not only ourselves, but also the business which has seen enormous change over the past 10 years. Although we now work harder than ever, we love the simplicity and slower pace ceramics brings - a huge contrast to our old corporate lifestyles!
