TERMS & CONDITIONS OF BOOKING

Please read carefully before booking and get in touch if you have any questions. The purchase of tickets will constitute acceptance of these conditions by purchaser and holder. Honeybourne Pottery reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time.

CANCELLATIONS

Cancellations/ requests to transfer to an alternative date are subject to availability and must be made in writing by email to info@honeybournepottery.co.uk. We urge you to carefully check your diary to ensure that you are available to attend any classes you are booking with us. If you are unable to attend, unfortunately all our workshops are non-refundable under all circumstances (illness due to Covid-19 included), but can be transferred upon request, outlined below. You can send someone in your place at any time without incurring a fee, but please note it is your responsibility to find a replacement person and you must let us know in advance who will be attending.

If you cancel a place on a workshop giving:

more than 21 days notice a £5 administration fee will be incurred to move your booking.

less than 21 days notice you will be charged 25% of the workshop fee in order to reschedule.

less than 14 days notice you will be charged 50% of the workshop fee in order to reschedule.

less than 72 hours notice or failure to attend your workshop will result in the loss of the full workshop fee.

In the unlikely event that we have to cancel a workshop, will strive to give as much notice of this as possible. Honeybourne Pottery reserves the right to cancel up to and including the date of the class; if insufficient bookings have been received or due to other reasons outside of our control. Individuals booked onto a cancelled class will be given the options of a full refund, rescheduling to a future date or gift voucher. If we are required to close due to a pandemic, such as COVID-19 outbreak/restriction, your booking will be honoured with a gift voucher which can be redeemed at a later date.  

We will not be held liable for any losses or expenses arising from amendments or cancellations that you may incur in the event of cancellation by us.


LATE ATTENDANCE

Please attend on time to all workshops, a certain amount of time is allocated to each class and we always aim to start at the time advertised. If you are late, time cannot be made up at the end of the class and it is to the discretion of the tutor to not accept a late arrival if it is potentially detrimental to fellow participants. This will be treated as a late cancellation.


SAFETY

Please be aware the pottery is a working studio environment and due care and attention must be given. We are not liable and cannot be held responsible for any accidents to customers whilst at the studio.

The wearing of jewellery (wedding bands are exempt) should not be worn whilst working with clay and long hair must be tied back especially when on the potter’s wheel. Sensible clothes & footwear (that you don’t mind getting dirty) should be worn. Honeybourne Pottery are not responsible for any loss/ damage to personal possessions such as clothing, shoes, watches, jewellery or mobile devices. We recommend leaving valuables in a safe place before you attend your pottery workshop.

No food should be consumed in the working studio and drinks should only be consumed in lidded cups.

Children under 16 years of age must have an accompanying adult present and be supervised at all times.


GIFT VOUCHERS

Gift vouchers are non-refundable and valid for 12 months. Vouchers can be extended by 3 months on receipt of a 20% handling fee (this must be agreed in writing and payment received prior to the expiry date shown on your voucher). All cancellation conditions apply to voucher holders.


TECHNICAL ISSUES / BREAKAGES

Experienced and trained staff only will handle and fire your ceramic work. Although that every due care and attention is given, by the nature of ceramics there is always a risk of technical failure, cracks or explosions for which we cannot be held responsible. Payment of these pieces is still to be made to cover the materials and firing.

Any equipment that is broken due to negligence or manhandling will need to be repaired or replaced by the person(s) responsible.


COLLECTION OF WORK

We recommend you collect your finished ceramic work as soon as possible after you receive the notification email from us that they are ready. This helps to keep our storage area clear therefore avoiding damage. If work is not collected within 6 weeks from the date of our email, then sadly pots will be disposed of. If you attend a workshop from further afield we can post your work to you. We cannot accept responsibility for any damages or undelivered items by Royal Mail.


PHOTOGRAPHY

Photography is permitted at the studio, please be mindful of others when taking photographs/video. We occasionally take photos/video during workshops for content on our social media pages / website, permission is always sought before doing so.


DATA PROTECTION

Any personal information you give to us will be processed in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018. We will not share your contact details and any personal data you provide, will be held securely on computer files and used to process your booking only.
