TERMS & CONDITIONS OF BOOKING
Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before booking any Workshop through our website, by email, or by telephone. If you have any questions, we are always happy to help—please contact us before confirming your booking. By making a booking, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms, as may be amended by Honeybourne Pottery from time to time.
BOOKING & PAYMENT
All Honeybourne Pottery workshops and events are non-refundable. Please ensure your availability before booking.
Our workshops are suitable for participants aged 7 and above. Children under 16 must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
Full payment is normally required at the time of booking to secure your place. Provisional spaces cannot be held. For larger groups, we may accept a deposit to confirm your booking, with the remaining balance due prior to the workshop. Any deposit arrangements will be agreed in writing.
Once your booking has been paid, either in part or in full, a binding contract is formed. You will receive an automated Workshop Confirmation email. If you do not receive this within 24 hours, please check your spam/junk folder and contact us to ensure your booking has been processed.
Accepted payment methods include MasterCard, Visa, Switch, Delta, Maestro, American Express and Bank Transfer. If payment is made using a Honeybourne Pottery Gift Experience Voucher or Workshop Credit, the voucher code should be provided at the time of booking.
We recommend that participants consider obtaining personal travel or event insurance where appropriate.
CUSTOMER CANCELLATION & TRANSFERS
All cancellation or transfer requests must be made in writing via email to info@honeybournepottery.co.uk. Please include your original booking confirmation if possible.
If you cannot attend your Workshop, you may nominate another person to attend in your place, provided their requirements are similar to yours. You must notify us in advance (in writing) with their full name and contact details. All substitute participants will also be bound by these Terms.
If you cancel your booking, we reserve the right to impose cancellation charges as follows:
14 days or more before the Workshop: We will work with you to move your booking to an alternative date or Workshop (additional charges may apply if the chosen Workshop is higher in value). If no new date is agreed at the time of cancellation, a Credit Voucher will be issued for the full Workshop value, less a £5 administration fee per person on the booking. Credit Vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of issue.
Less than 14 days before the Workshop: 50% of the Workshop fee will be forfeited. A Credit Voucher will be issued for the remaining 50%, valid for 12 months.
Less than 72 hours’ notice or non-attendance: The full Workshop fee will be forfeited, and no Credit Voucher will be issued.
LATE ATTENDANCE
Workshops run to a fixed schedule and begin promptly at the advertised start time. Please allow extra travel and parking time so you can relax and fully enjoy your session.
If you arrive late, the Workshop cannot be extended. Significant disruption may result in refusal of entry, treated as a late cancellation.
Please contact us if you expect to be delayed; while we will always do our best to accommodate late arrivals, entry after the session has started cannot be guaranteed.
GIFT VOUCHERS & WORKSHOP CREDIT
Gift vouchers and Workshop Credit are non-refundable and valid for 12 months from the date of issue.
The workshop can be booked for any date beyond the expiry shown on the voucher, as long as the voucher is redeemed before its expiry.
All standard cancellation policies apply to voucher holders.
CANCELLATIONS BY HONEYBOURNE POTTERY
On rare occasions, a Workshop may need to be cancelled due to insufficient bookings or unforeseen circumstances, including on the day of the session. We will provide as much notice as possible and offer you the choice of:
A full refund to your original payment method
Rescheduling to an alternative date
A Credit Voucher valid for 12 months
Honeybourne Pottery shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or additional costs incurred due to events outside its reasonable control (“force majeure”), including extreme weather, government restrictions, pandemics, strikes, or power outages. In such cases, affected bookings will automatically be converted into a Credit Voucher valid for 12 months from the date of reopening.
We may make reasonable amendments to Workshop content, timing, or Tutors. Any such changes will not affect your statutory rights.
Please note that Honeybourne Pottery cannot accept responsibility for travel, accommodation, or other additional costs incurred due to cancellations or rescheduling. We recommend that participants consider obtaining personal travel or event insurance where appropriate.
HEALTH & SAFETY
Honeybourne Pottery takes every reasonable precaution to ensure a safe environment. By attending a Workshop, you accept that participation is at your own risk. We cannot accept liability for accidents, injuries, or damage occurring on the premises, except where such liability arises from our negligence resulting in death or personal injury.
Equipment Use
Workshops may involve specialist equipment. Full instructions will be given by your Tutor before use. Misuse may result in removal from the Workshop without refund.
If you are ever unsure, do not use the equipment—ask your Tutor for assistance.
We cannot be held responsible for accidents caused by misuse of equipment or failure to follow instructions.
Accidents
Any accident or injury, however minor, must be reported to staff immediately. You may be asked to complete an accident report form.
Studio Access & Conduct
Please remain within designated Workshop areas and do not enter non-public areas.
Comfortable clothing and suitable footwear must be worn. Jewellery (including rings, watches, long necklaces, bracelets) must be removed before using the potter’s wheel, and long hair tied back.
No food may be consumed in the studio unless otherwise stated. Drinks are permitted but must be in lidded cups or bottles.
Participants must not attend under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Personal Belongings
Please avoid bringing valuables. We cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to personal belongings, including clothing, shoes, jewellery, watches, or mobile devices.
Health & Allergies
Please inform us in advance of any serious medical conditions, allergies, or injuries that may affect your participation.
ACCESSIBILITY
Honeybourne Pottery is committed to providing a welcoming, adaptable, and pan-disability accessible environment for all visitors. We aim to ensure that everyone can enjoy their Workshop safely and comfortably.
We operate in accordance with the Equality Act 2010 and will make reasonable adjustments wherever possible to accommodate participants with disabilities or specific needs.
Please let us know in advance if you have any mobility requirements, sensory needs, or other accessibility considerations so we can make appropriate arrangements. While we strive to meet all requirements, some areas or activities may have inherent limitations due to the nature of a working pottery studio and our building layout.
We encourage all participants to contact us in advance with any questions about accessibility or to discuss specific support needs.
TECHNICAL ISSUES & EQUIPMENT DAMAGE
All ceramic work is handled and fired by experienced staff. While every care is taken, ceramics inherently carry a risk of cracks, breakages, or firing failures. We cannot be held responsible for these outcomes.
Payment is still required for work that fails in firing, as costs of materials and kiln use are incurred.
Participants are responsible for any equipment damage caused by negligence or misuse, and must be repaired or replaced at the participant’s expense.
COLLECTION OF WORK
Participants are advised to collect fired work as soon as possible after receiving our collection email. This helps us keep our storage area organised and prevents accidental damage due to a build up of work.
Uncollected work after 6 weeks may be disposed of, and Honeybourne Pottery is not liable for loss.
Postal delivery can be arranged for those travelling from further afield. However, we cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage during postal transit.
PHOTOGRAPHY
Photography is welcome, but please be considerate of others when taking pictures or videos.
We may take photos/videos for marketing. Permission will always be sought from participants before doing so. If you later wish to withdraw permission for photos/videos taken, you may do so by contacting us in writing at any time.
DATA PROTECTION
Personal data is processed in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and GDPR.
Your information is used solely for managing your booking and will not be shared with third parties.
OTHER IMPORTANT TERMS
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Honeybourne Pottery regarding your booking.
In these Terms, ‘we’, ‘us’, and ‘our’ refer to Honeybourne Pottery, and ‘you’ and ‘your’ refer to the participant making the booking.
