ACCESSIBILITY

At Honeybourne Pottery, we want everyone to feel welcome and comfortable when they visit our studio. We understand that everyone’s needs are different, and we’re always happy to discuss any individual requirements before your visit and make adjustments wherever we reasonably can.

Pottery is a wonderfully hands-on and rewarding activity that can encourage focus, creativity, problem-solving and self-expression. Our workshops are friendly, relaxed and beginner-friendly, with plenty of guidance and support from our tutors to help everyone learn new techniques, develop their skills and enjoy creating something by hand.

We offer a range of pottery classes, from potter’s wheel throwing and clay modelling to tailored group workshops, and can adapt sessions where possible to suit individual access requirements or group needs.

We warmly welcome disability organisations, community groups and support services, and offer discounted rates for group bookings.

A Carer/support worker is very welcome to accompany a guest who requires their support at no additional studio charge, allowing them to be present and provide assistance throughout the workshop where needed. If they would also like to take part in the workshop and create their own pieces, a workshop place would need to be booked for them.

Please note: Workshop age suitability varies. Our Potter’s Wheel Taster Class is suitable for ages 7+, while most of our other workshops are suitable for ages 16+. Please see individual workshop pages for full details.

Studio Accessibility Features

Our North Cotswolds pottery studio includes the following accessibility features:

• Step-free access via a portable ramp at the main entrance and level access throughout the majority of areas.

• Height-adjustable pottery wheels suitable for wheelchair users

• BSL-supported sessions (available with advance notice)

• Service animals welcome (water bowl provided)

• Adjustable lighting available on request
  

Important Note - Due to constraints of our old building, our restroom cannot be adapted for wheelchair users. We apologise and can suggest nearby alternatives where possible.
