EDUCATION
We offer pottery workshops designed to be accessible, inclusive, and engaging for children of all ages and abilities. Our sessions provide a wonderful opportunity for young learners to experiment with clay, spark their creativity, and develop new skills in a supportive environment.
Clay is a versatile and tactile medium that fits seamlessly with curriculum goals or can simply add fun, hands-on excitement to your classroom. Each workshop is tailored to meet your class’s unique needs and interests. Some of our popular projects include:
Collaborative sculptures & tile projects
Greek theatre masks
Ancient dwellings
Egyptian canopic jars
And many more!
Depending on the theme, children will explore clay modelling techniques such as slabbing, coiling, and pinch-pots to create their own unique clay creation. For an extra special experience, we can bring portable potter’s wheels along, allowing pupils to take turns throwing pots under the guidance of one of our expert potters, who will also demonstrate this captivating skill. Alternatively Classes are welcome to visit our studio for a full pottery experience, or we can bring the workshop directly to your school for added convenience.
After the workshop, children’s creations can be left to air dry and painted in school- extending the creative fun. Or we can carefully dry and kiln-fire the pieces at our studio for an additional cost. Finished ceramic works will be ready for collection or delivery approximately two weeks later.

TESTIMONIALS
"It has been brilliant to have been able to have visited Honeybourne Pottery for the past three years with my Y6 pupils. We have always received such a fantastic welcome and it is a wonderful opportunity for the children to experience first-hand what it is like to work in an artists' studio. The expertise on offer from Annabel and Alan is second-to-none and the children are able to produce work of the highest quality. We have linked our work to our topic on Ancient Greece and have thrown pots as well as creating theatre masks. I have been impressed by the value for money from our visit, but most importantly, the overall experience for the children. They are still talking about it now!"
