Potter's Wheel Half Day Workshop
Learning to throw pots is immensely satisfying. Our half day course is suitable for the complete beginner or those who wish to dig a little deeper to expand their technical knowledge and throwing skills.
Our Half Day Workshop begins with a detailed demonstration on the potter's wheel followed by one-to-one tuition. We encourage participants to progress at their own pace, with as little or as much guidance as required. Places are kept to a maximum of 8 people to ensure plenty of help and you'll each have your own potter's wheel for the duration of the workshop. After creating some truly unique pieces from bowls, dishes, vases to mugs and more, you will have the opportunity to select your favourite piece(s) to decorate using coloured slips. Your masterpieces will be left at the pottery to be fired, glazed and fired again. Pots will be ready for collection from the Pottery approx. 5-6 weeks later.
COST: £84pp - Includes all materials and decoration / glazing of 1 pot of your choice. Extra pots can be decorated and left for firing and glazing at a cost of £10 or clear glazed for £8. This workshop is aimed at adults.
DURATION: 3 Hours
WHEN: Every Sunday morning, 10-1pm. Half Day Workshops may also run midweek, subject to enquiry & numbers.
BOOKING: Pre-booking essential. To reserve a place, please use the online booking system on our Make A Booking page.
Please allow approx. 5-6 weeks for your pots to be dried, fired & glazed for collection. We will advise via email when your fabulous creations are ready along with collection times. Storage space is limited so a speedy collection is appreciated. Unfortunately we are not able to hold on to uncollected pots beyond 3 months. Collection is preferable or if you do not live in the surrounding area, we can wrap and post your finished pots to your home address at additional cost. We regret that we cannot accept responsibility for any damages or undelivered items by Royal Mail.
