weekly Potter's Wheel classes
Our pottery throwing classes are open to adults of all ability levels, from complete beginners to those with more experience. With a maximum class size of 8 students, we are able to ensure plenty of one to one tuition. Our teaching approach is friendly and informal. We provide comprehensive demonstrations and tutoring on the potter's wheel. Students are given the freedom to explore techniques or projects at their own pace.
Classes are 2 hours long and run for a block of 10 weeks. We ask for payment of £132 upfront for 8 classes which gives you the flexibility to choose which sessions suit you. However students are very welcome to top up and pay individually for the extra classes and attend the whole 10 week term. There is a small charge of £18 to be made in addition to the course fee to cover the cost of fired/ glazed pots. Once you have joined, students are offered priority of place for the following block of classes if they wish to continue.

Independent Studio Time
We offer open studio time for people to work on personal projects and practise independently. You will have access to the studio and use of all our equipment. We do not offer formal instruction so students need to have a basic pottery or sculpting skill level (preferably acquired by undertaking a block of classes with us) . Studio time is charged at £10 per hour. Materials and firing costs are not included.
Fire Your Ceramic Work With Us
We sell 12kg bags of clay for hobbyists wishing to create pieces of work at home at a cost of £10 per bag. We can also fire your work for you in one of our kilns. All you need to do is arrange a date, deliver the work and then pick it up when ready (up to 2 weeks). For more information please call or email the studio.
