SPECIAL NEEDS / LEARNING DIFFICULTIES
Clay holds huge potential for learning and discovering; it is a tactile and accessible material which makes a wonderful medium for people of all abilities to work with. It is extremely therapeutic, calming and rewarding and we very much welcome individuals and groups to explore the positive benefits of working with clay.
We have many years experience working with children and adults with a variety of disabilities and special needs. Various options are available including clay modelling, potter's wheel sessions and pottery painting.
We can travel to settings such as schools and care homes and also teach pottery workshops at our studio.
For further information please call or email us to book.
"We run a youth club for young people with learning difficulties and I am always looking for interesting activities that will entertain and excite young people with varying abilities. The experience was amazing and everyone had a great time. The potter’s wheel allowed great sensory experience and was very much enjoyed by all. Every young person was able to produce a piece of art work that they could be proud of. Thank you for providing us with such a great experience." Eve

"Annabel and Alan visited us and all of our children threw a pot and also made a pottery plaque. They were lovely with the children and the pots that were produced were awesome. The children were buzzing about their experience and the pots they had produced. We have just had all of their fired work delivered back to us and they are all FAB.A huge thank you to Annabel and Alan for their patience with the children."
