CHILDREN'S HOLIDAY WORKSHOPS
Come and have fun making a masterpiece or make a mess (within reason!) at our family friendly studio. We run themed clay modelling workshops for children every school holiday, for all ages. Sessions range from a variety of making techniques and using decorative slips. Alternatively, families can book their own workshop and enjoy a go on the potters' wheel or do some ceramic painting. Take your creation home on the day or opt to have your work fired/glazed. Please see below for further details.
FEBRUARY Half-Term Clay Modelling Workshops
Children can get creative this coming half-term making a character plant pot. They will get the opportunity to add colour to their piece after using decorative slips.
Your child’s masterpiece will be left at the pottery to dry thoroughly before it it is fired and given a clear glaze. Approx. 4 weeks later we will notify you by email about collection. To reserve a place, please complete the enquiry form on our Contact page. Pre-booking essential.

Pot Throw & Decorate Workshop
Throughout half-term week, we will also be running our popular Pot Throw & Decorate Workshops. Throw a single pot on the wheel and then spend time afterwards decorating it using decorative slips and sponges. We'll fire and glaze it for a permanent ceramic finish and it will be ready to collect from the studio approx. 4 weeks later. A great option for children & adults of all ages just wanting to try the wheel once. Full demonstration is given at the start of the workshop and so is ideal for the complete beginner. Workshops can be booked at any of the following times: 10am, 11.30am, 2pm and 3.30pm Tuesday - Sunday.
Cost: £20 for a child and £22 for adults.
Duration: Sessions last approx 1 hour.
How to book: Simply contact us to check availability, book a time and turn up for an hour or two of creative clay fun!
"Half term and the kids are climbing up the walls, pouring with rain. Booked with Alan at 9am and arrived at 11. He did a very clear demonstration for the kids aged 6,8,& 11, then they all made something, and painted it afterwards. He's even posting the one bowl when it's been fired to kid who lives in London. Highly recommended." Jo
"Both my boys had a fantastic time at the half-term modelling workshop and want to come again! Not only did they really enjoy making their monsters but also chatting to the other children, which for Jake it quite rare. Jake is on the autistic spectrum and struggles with extreme anxiety, it's not often we find something he feels relaxed doing. Thank you so much." Vicky
"We had a brilliant afternoon yesterday thank you so much! Everyone enjoyed themselves, the kids had a ball getting messy with clay and painting - and we grown ups were all excited to make our own creations on the wheel! Thank you so much!."
