Children's Parties

A birthday party with a difference - a memorable way for your child and friends to celebrate their birthday and create a lasting work of art from clay!

Choose any two of the fun activities below:
1) Potter's Wheel
We throw a demonstration pot on the wheel and then all the children take turns to craft their very own pot.
2) Clay Modelling
Themed session where party-goer's can enjoy hand-building a fabulous clay creation using a variety of making techniques.
3) Pottery Painting
Children can choose from our unique range of ready-to-paint bisque. Paints are used rather than glazes so items can be taken away on the day.

Price:  For both clay activities (potter's wheel and clay modelling) the cost is £14 per head. If pottery painting is chosen with 1 clay activity the cost is £12.00 per head. *Prices are based on party numbers of 6-10 children. **Birthday Parties are subject to a total minimum spend of £100 as exclusive hire of the studio is provided**

Small Party Groups:  For party groups of 8 children or less, we can offer a Pot Throw & Decoration Workshop. Each child will make their own pot on the potter's wheel & afterwards decorate their creation using coloured slips. Finished pots would be left at the studio for firing & glazing resulting in a finished ware capable of holding food/liquid. Pots are typically ready to collect approx. 4 weeks later. Cost per child is £18.

Age: Birthday parties are subject to a minimum age of 7 years old.

Duration: Pottery activities run for approx. 60-75 mins depending on group size & activities chosen.

Food: Bring your own party food and birthday cake, the studio's party room can be hired at a cost of £20.00 for 30 minutes before or after the pottery activities. A table cloth is provided and tea/coffee is available for attending adults.

Finished Work: Firing is optional at a cost of £2 for 1 item or £3 for 2 items per child. Please allow approx 2-3 weeks for the work to dry and be fired in our kiln before collecting. Alternatively you may take all the children's work away on the day. Clay items should be left to dry thoroughly for a week. The work can then be painted at home using acrylic paints or similar, however finished pieces should not be used for food or liquid if they have not been glazed.

How to book:  To reserve a place, please use the enquiry form on our Contact page. Pre-booking essential.

"Just to thank you for a lovely day yesterday. Amelia, Austin and all the party guests (and adults!) had a fantastic time. I have had texts from everyone saying it was a brilliant party and they hope to return to your studio. It was a very relaxed environment and lots of fun."

"We just wanted to say a huge thank you to you both for Nia's party last Saturday. All her friends had a wonderful time and they are all talking about coming back with their parents! Thank you for making her birthday memorable and special."

"Just wanted to say thanks so much for an enjoyable afternoon yesterday. Beth had a lovely 11th Birthday party and all the girls really enjoyed themselves. The pot making was the favourite with them all, but they loved the modelling too and the chance to be gruesomely creative!! Beth has already asked if she, her sister and I can come back and have another go, so I'm sure we'll be seeing you again!" Becca
